Walette Stanford served in JEA for nearly two decades filling multiple positions. Most recently, she serves as the Ethics Director/Officer at JEA. In this position she develops and execute strategies for the entire organization to drive positive results in cultural competency and improved work environment, by elevating the ethical culture within the organization. She serves as a consultant to all levels of management on ethics and compliance related issues, seeks to develop integrated solutions to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the objectives of the organization. Prior to joining the compliance team, she served as Director of Emerging Workforce Strategies/Sr HR Business Partner where she controlled a $1M operating budget, where she worked to Implement strategies to promote a diversified workforce. She also served as a Director of Employee Services, Labor Relations Specialist and Customer Contact Manager in her 20 years with the public utility. Preceding her time at JEA, Walette spent 7 years as a Project Manager at Prudential Financial. Stanford has earned the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace certificate from the University of South Florida. Other certifications include Master Certified Life Coach, Six Sigma Green Belt and SHRM Certified Professional from the Society of Human Resource Management . She has served as President of the First Coast Diversity Council, a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (Jacksonville Chapter), Leadership Jacksonville Class of 2014 and Vice President of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (Florida Chapter) among others. She earned her Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and undergraduate degree in Marketing from Florida State University.
