Mikle’s experience in the energy industry begun in 1990 in serving in various roles and have worked in the demand side management field for 21 years. Mikle began his career with Progress Energy Florida in 2001 as an Energy Efficiency Advisor, DSM Program Inspector, Commercial Energy Advisor, and current role as the Supervisor of the Residential and Business Markets Operations, Residential Energy Efficiency -North Coastal Region.
In his current role, he is responsible for providing leadership and direction to a team of regional employees which consist of Energy Advisors, Account Executives, and Program Inspectors who support Residential Single family and Trade Ally Vendors. While focused on safety as priority number one, Mikle and his team is responsible for the successful achievement of Duke Energy’s DSM goals and objectives, customer satisfaction, and financial targets.
Mikle received his Associate of Arts degree from College of Central Florida, bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the Saint Leo University, and master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He currently serve on the American Association of Blacks in Energy’s Florida executive committee, and served as the Florida Chapter President, Vice President, Associate member on the Board of Directors for the Marion County Education Foundation, Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., and graduate of the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce – Leadership Pasco class of 2012…“ Can’t Out Do Class Of 12”!
