Claude Pinder has worked in the public power sector for 31 years at Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU). He is currently working in the Energy Supply System Control area as a Power Systems Application Engineer.

Claude is a founding member of AABE Florida and is currently serving as the Nomination Committee Chairperson. He has served in a variety of roles for AABE FL (originally the first Secretary) and has assisted each Executive team. He also helped form and mentor the AABE FL College Chapter at the University of Florida.

Claude graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He has worked at GRU as a Utility Analyst, Transmission Engineer, Capital Projects Engineer, and Power Plant Manager. He is proficient power plant security, operations, computing services, transmission, and network operations.

Claude is active in outdoor activities such as basketball, hiking, and bike riding.
