Derick Farfan,
Duke Energy Florida, Sr. Strategy & Planning Manager
My name is Derick Farfan, and I obtained a degree in electrical engineering from the University of South Florida. Over the past 13 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various roles ranging from energy efficiency to large account management and renewables with Duke Energy. I currently work as the Program Manager for Clean Energy Connection (CEC) at Duke Energy Florida. This solar program is the largest currently with the Duke Energy enterprise with approximately 750 MW of dedicated solar facilities to subscribers to the program. In this role, I help Duke Energy continue to usher in a net-zero carbon emissions reality by providing oversight to this newly designed shared solar program.
